Once again they were at the site of the tribe. Klype had made up his mind; the mental rape was too much for him to take. He thought about the collapse of his home world, the trickery acts of Lucie and his present inferior situation. But maybe most of all, he thought of the unlimited supplies of drugs at this place, which could relieve him of Lucie’s dominance.

It was not spontaneity when Klype took of his camouflage and simply went down to the tribe. After a while, Lucie saw to her horror, Klype’s presence in the tribe.

The tribe was naturally very skeptical to Klype’s sudden appearance. They reacted with curiosity to his apparently relationship, with ignorance and intuitive aggression. Klype knew that he could not measure with the tribe’s members accept or strength. He chose to impress them by lighting a torch and then walk to them. But when he was close, a stone flew at him. It was then he, despite his plan, he fired a shot. To the tribe, it was a proof of controlling lightning and thunder in addition to fire. There was a sudden silence. Klype gathered some branches to make a camp fire. However, he did not do more that evening. The tribe got used to the fire, its warmth and the security from other animals. The tribe admired him for that.

Klype had chosen a side. He was determined to stay with the tribe and leave Lucie to herself. By that choice, he dared to show the tribe other uses of fire, how to make simple tools and more advanced communication. Later on he showed them how to effectively protect themselves against the dragons and how to hunt them. Cooking with fire made the food sterile and reduced illness.

Lucie was hysterical about Klype’s deception. She could see the greater consequences of his direct interference with the primate culture. Furthermore, she feared the reactions if any superior ever got to know about this incident. But she could not involve herself without worsening the situation, she thought at first. Then she thought about changing body in this alien world. After some serious considerations she chose a small and harmless dragon. She paralyzed it with her weapon and brought it in hiding between some bushes and rocks. Then she laid her hand over its forehead and let her spirit flow over to the dragon. After a while, she had adapted to the new body, - however a little clumsy. She learned how to control the dragon’s unwillingness.

The designed body lay lifeless on the ground. She was a little worried but thought it would be ok till she returned, so she could possess it again. Lucie closed into the tribe carefully and finally got Klype on her own. He finally recognized her. I have decided, Klype said without much attention to her nearness. Lucie was confused and irritated. You do not know what you are doing, she said. This makes a big interference and will irritate someone you would rather not oppose. Klype ignored her. Finally he said; you do not know what this is about either. I have no choice in returning and I am determined to stay. Anyway, all you are here, is food. Go while you can. Lucie wanted to possess Klype and took an attack position. But he noticed the position and figured what she was thinking of. Bug of, you misguided spirit; he said and pointed the gun at her.  Lucie was insulted and showed her anger in an aggressive way. It called for the tribe's hunters’ attention. You should go now, Klype said, or you will be the tribe’s next dinner. When she got a rock in her head, she realized the hopelessness and ran towards the ship.

To her horror, she saw that her previous body was found by predator dragons. She was in despair, but did not dare to interrupt the feast meal. She saw in details how they teared and dragged the designed body, like it was any kind of meat. Lucie was now bound to the primitive dragon body. She found the ship and managed to get in. With some practice, she managed to control the ship. I should never have trusted that deceiving Klype, she thought to herself, when the ship left Terra. After all, she had fulfilled her mission and considered Klype’s interference as minimal in the big picture. The report was send with a probe at 100 G acceleration back to its origin. Lucie laid herself to sleep and waited for the response.

Klype’s respect in the tribe grew every day. He learned them about health, organizing, communication, security, hunting and most of the knowledge that could be realized in a pre-stone-age society. But there were large disadvantages compared to the civilization he knew. On the other hand, there were not the unnatural complexities that lead to his civilizations ruin. He simply felt a greater satisfaction than ever. His recognition of the tribe increase and finally he was accepted by the tribe’s heads. The tribe listened to Klype and they became able to develop a primitive society.
