Captain Guanabana, alias Captain Surprise, is the 5th Tordenskjold Pirate, - and a drink based on the fruit. It represents the uncovered and mysterious sides of nature - and how it influences persons and organizations to organized crime like piracy. The Guanabana is curios in the sense that it is claimed to be a cure for cancer as well as a cause to Parkinson’s disease. The fruit is globally widespread and has over 20 names, which makes it hard to identify even though it is well known. Just like we do not understand the nature and all the consequences of uses and abuses, - this pirate’s alias is Captain Surprise, - where the outcome is unpredictable. It might be male and female, - pirates and piratesses, - good and bad.

The Captain Guanabana drink relates to the curious jungles of South America. This recipe is also simple, - mix white rum, Guanabana juice and ice-cubes, - 1 to 4 for grape-wine ABV and 1 to 10 for beer ABV. (See links for more advanced Captains Passion drinks.) It is hard to find receipts for the fruit since it has 20-30 names like soursop, graviola, evo, mtomoko, anona, graviolo, corossol, kowosòl and pawpaw.

Erik the Viking, a comedy by Monty Python, was presented in the Extra UU3 2016.jan.15. The relation between the Vikings and Caribbean pirates are obvious in several ways. This time, the quest has reached the mythical island Hy Brasil. The wise woman Freya told him that one of the tasks was to acquire the Horn Resounding in the land of Hy Brasil. The etymology of the names Brasil and Hy Brasil is unknown, but believed to be a phantom island said to lie in the Atlantic Ocean west of Ireland. Despite the similarity, the name of the country Brazil has no connection to the mythical islands. That goes for the Viking myths of Zealand (Sjælland) too, which is said that the goddess Gefjun created the island Gylfaginning after she tricked the king of Sweden Gylfi. She removed a piece of land and transported it to Denmark, which became today’s Zealand (Sjælland).
Hy Brazil is not like the Virgin Islands. However, even though not sinking, - it was certainly going down due to loss of support, denials and piracy. The relation to the present Captain Surprise is apparent, - as well as an introduction to the next Tordenskjold Pirate - Captain Coco.
