Another ancient Nordic culture is still preserved at Iceland in the Arctic region. The island itself is truly a merger of Europe and America since it rose from the volcanic ridge of their continental plates. The Arctic nature has surprised humanity before - and will again - especially if provoked. MAD violations can again alter it irreversibly, like during the Soviet’s paranoid nuclear warfare towards the Arctic nature in 1963. The UN had to stop the SU insanity of being a threat to humanity as well as itself. Yet, half a century later, the damage on the globe’s freezer backfires and became an irreversible global warming. Now, like that shift from the 3rd Pyramid Game to the 4th in 1963, the ongoing shift to the 5th Pyramid Game in 2013 shows even more alarming symptoms of dysfunctional mass-psychosis - that spreads at the speed of mass-media. The Arctic region is once again the stage for global geopolitical rivalries. This time, nova-China, as well as nova-SU and nova-US, are positioning themselves for another unpredictable climax at the Arctic Ocean.

Although, apparently ‘status quo’ in the Arctic, the diplomatic rivalries and military positioning are escalating towards a determined climax. Some quotes from Wikipedia gives insight to the situation.

”Arctic cooperation and politics are coordinated via the Arctic Council, of US, Canada, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, and Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands) and to a lesser extent of UK, Germany, EU, China, NGOs, UN and NATO. Every Arctic nation is concerned about sovereignty and defense, resource development, shipping routes, and environmental protection. There is remarkable conformity of stated policy directives among Arctic nations. However, US has not ratified of the UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) and thereby theterritorial claims are not harmonized concerning the Lomonosov Ridge, the Northwest Passage, shipping, tourism and resource development. The issues escalate while the ice melts and will be ice-free summer in about 10 years.

”Russia, Canada, Norway and Denmark rival over land, politics and resources in the Arctic. However, Russia claims more than the UN accept and use military aggression.“ ”Modern Russian territorial claims to the Arctic date officially back to 1926 (i.e. Lenin’s 3rd International). The first maritime boundary between Russia and Norway, was signed in 1957, but both countries made continental shelf claims in the 1960s.” Then Stalin’s massive nuking of the Arctic started.
”Today Russia says that its military units specifically trained for Arctic combat. Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov announced plans for the creation of two brigades that would be stationed in the Arctic. Russia's Arctic policy statement, approved by President Medvedev, called for the establishment of improved military forces in the Arctic to "ensure military security and strengthening the existing border guards.” Navy commander Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky siad: "We are observing the penetration of a host of states which . . . are advancing their interests very intensively, in every possible way, in particular China," and that Russia will "not give up a single inch" in the Arctic. (China has the largest foreign embassy in Reykjavik, anticipating Iceland becoming an important transshipment hub. An ice-free Trans-Arctic shipping routes could shorten distances between northern Europe and northern China by 4,000 nautical miles and reduce shipping times two weeks.)
”In 2007, Russia planted a flag on the Arctic Ocean seafloor beneath the North Pole while performing research to substantiate its claim to an extended continental shelf. Other nations perceived it to be a symbolic land claim. Russia's current Arctic policy is contained in the document "Basics of Russian Federation State Policy for the Arctic Through 2020 and Beyond" signed by Russian President (now Prime Minister) Medvedev.”

Just to discover some of the Arctic history, - the SU mass-paranoia during the Stalin period caused their mass-nuking of the Arctic nature at a scale of total-destruction - initiating a so-called ‘Nuclear Summer’. One explanation for the insanity can be that their radars could not distinguish between whales and submarines – and Stalin concluded that ‘attack is the best defense’. Consequently, they nuked lots of whales in desperate paranoia – and later blaming the whale-hunters for the whales’ near-extinction. The insanity led to the UN doctrine ‘MAD’ (Mutually Assured Destruction). This issue is recurring in these blogs, since all the cold-war mass-media’s mass-psychosis hinder humanity to focus on the real causes and problem to the global warming and nuclear toxicities.

However, now anyone can see and read about the SU detonations (nearby Novaya Zemlya) of 224 nuclear bombs, 265 megatons, with a blast-force 20,000 times the Hiroshima bomb, - or 100 times all the blast-force in ww2. It is similar to a totally destructive nuclear war in the North Pole region with accordingly radioactive pollution (and ‘nuclear summer’). This is a major global concern and no merely an internal affair. The radioactive waste is spread with the winds and with the Atlantic and Pacific streams. There is also radioactive waste on the melting ice. All remaining life, like fish, polar bears, whales and seals were highly exposed. Attempts to tell about these circumstances was strongly opposed by the Secret Services. The Nikitin case about radioactive sub-marines were just scratched the surface before another phase of total censorship.”

“However, - most destructive of them all was the ozone-blaster Tsar Bomba that alone had 10 times all the ww2 blast-force. No wonder that this place has the highest increase in warming and that the ice melts so rapidly.” (UU 12.aug.2011 and UU 2014.dec.05)
Now, half a century later, with the constant increased UV radiation, the polar-ice has finally become so porous that it rapidly melts to water and the temperature increases by 2 degree Celsius each year. The UV degradation of the polar ice has been going on for 50 years, although we see the results of the rapid melting now.
Did none of the Soviets underwater nukes affect the volcanic Gakkel Ridge or Lomonosov Ridge? Such is hard to prove and will most certainly be political denied anyway, - like all the other cold-war-crimes. However, underwater nuking in the Arctic is like nuking the ‘Ring of Fire’, the volcanic belt in the Pacific. Nuking an underwater volcano would probably trigger volcanic eruptions – causing additional heat to the Arctic ice from beneath. However, the water-pressure at deep-sea volcanos holds any spectacular eruptions in check, leaking merely the extreme heat.
Svalbard inhabitants have expressed concerns about the secret SU and Russian activities on the islands. Norway is sovereign according to the Svalbard Treaty of 1920, but do allow foreign nations to do research and some utilizations like coal mining. However, the Russian mines have caught fire several times, a plane with Ukraine workers crash-landed and sometimes they appear with their nuclear ice-breakers, nuclear submarines and floating nuclear powerplants. Just recently, the Russian vice-prime minister Dmitri Rogozin landed illegally on Svalbard and expressed aggressive ambitions - just like he did prior to the illegal annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea.

The threat of MAD violations altered considerably the European parliamentary systems of Legal, Executive and Judicial powers. Political parties and people’s movements promoted ‘no (proper) defense’ in fear of Soviet MAD violence. All these altered policies paved the path for corrupted actors in all the Parliamentary powers. The effects of 1963 are still very influential in 2013 politics.

Svalbard was abused as the trigger for a Norwegian Coup d’ Etat in 1963. It was the shift from the 3rd to the 4th Pyramid Game. Cold War history books over-focus on the climax at the SU/US Cuba crisis, though. However, there were considerable political aftermaths that are covered from focus in the Nordic region, - yet vital to get insight to the political crisis and shifts. “The Norwegian Trial of the decade is certainly the 22/7-2011 case. It was really 2 very different extreme terror cases; the CdE by blowing up the Governmental Building, and the massacre of the governments youth organization (AUF). The joint trial is focuses in UU 2012.mai.18 to UU 2012.Juli.20, and UU 2012.aug.24. The over-focus on ABB’s reward, the massacre on innocent youths, did take all the attention from the CdE bombing. The phenomenon ‘Selmer’, is mentioned several times. ”More personalized is the story about the 15 years old boy called Selmer. He was a ’given’ to the SU Empire to be educated for espionage in Norway. It is a rare documentary form NRK Spekter (‘Spionprogrammet Norge ikke fikk se’ / The espionage documentary that Norwegians did get to see’), especially because it was illegitimated hindered by the media state-monopoly NRK for 30-40 years. The documentary provides a human description on how an unwilling person gets to promote state-terror and how hard it can be to get out of the thralldom. The story also tells about the permanent fear that SU was going to nuke Norwegian cities and how the U2 plane probably was ‘taken down’. One can certainly have doubt to some of Selmer’s sayings, like the travels to the capital Oslo was merely to party and that he knew no other spies. Eventually, Selmer war convicted for treason by the State, but was also pardoned by the Throne. “Additionally, Russia is a member of the European Human Rights Organization. Its name, Council of Europe (CoE), is mistakenly close to the European Council, the decision board for EU member states’ governments. The present leader of CoE has tight relations to LO and thereby the 3rd International, been leader of AUF, AP party leader, minister for foreign affairs and prime minister. He is reputed for political scandals, - however always somehow slips away, - leaving a political mess behind. As leader of the Nobel Peace prize committee, he personally provoked the Chinese revealingly so diplomacy and trade has suffered badly since. China got a seat in the Arctic Board instead of EU, - that seems like a compensation. These provoking intrigues overshadows Dalai Lama’s messages for Human Rights and national sovereignty. Jagland still provokes the Chinese as leader of the CoE, mistaken as EU, even though his mandate concerns merely Europe. On the other hand, CoE was silent during the massive HR violations of the Russian warfare toward Ukraine. CoE do not encourage European nations to ratify the signed Human Rights conventions that includes exception for protection against sociopaths. “The Norwegian oil production is vital for Europa’s needs, independence and security. However, political trade-related environmental arguments are abused to hinder that. As mentioned in UU 2013.sept.20: “The gigantic competitor to European energy-supplies, Gazprom, do already test-drilling in the Arctic region. “The Norwegian government did the opposite reaction when Chinese officials made threats after the NGO Nobel committee honored an imprisoned Chinese humanist. (The Danish government denied any involvement when threatened by Muslim extremists under the Mohammad crises that was caused by the newspaper Jyllandsposten.) The Norwegian government gave into threats and unreasonable demands, like giving China observer status in the Arctic counsel instead of EU. Furthermore, China wants special rights from Denmark for mining on Greenland with extreme social dumping. Obviously, the Danish government is also under unreasonable pressure from China. However, globally, there are much more at stake, like a creation of a Chinese outpost in the NATO region, mining for uranium and a free port to the Northwest Passage – the future shortcut for Asia and EU.” (UU 2013.juli.19) There were as fierce political rivalries between PM Stoltenberg and PM Jagland prior to 2013, as there was against PM Gerhardsen before 1963. (According to Vassily Mitrokhin Gerhardsen became a Soviet intelligence operative during his visit to the USSR.) The Red-Green government had secret meetings without the PM Jagland that finally had to resign and Stoltenberg was appointed. As the leader of the Nobel Peace Prize committee, the prize was given to a Chinese dissident that caused Chinese diplomatic blockade of Norway for 6 years. Now, Jagland is set to lead The Council of Europe (ECHR) that too often are confused with the European Union (The European Council). Stoltenberg is now the General Secretary of NATO.

A worst-case scenario for future Russian-Norwegian relations is set in the TV-series Occupied. It was focused in extra UU 2015.okt.09.

The public presentation is: “In the near future, Norway is occupied by Russia on behalf of the European Union, due to the fact that the newly elected environmental friendly Norwegian government has stopped the oil- and gas-production in the North Sea.” In the first episode, the Prime Minister is kidnapped and convinced by a EU commissioner and a Nordic PM that their options are; production or occupation. However, both happens.

The Green-Red alliances is powerful in Norway, have been in previous AP/LO governments (Stoltenberg) and might return (Støre). Moscow related political parties have always opposed NATO and EU and would, if they could, cancel membership in both NATO and EFTA (EEA trade agreement with EU). Norway is a major oil & gas exporter to Europe and thereby a main competitor to Russian oil & gas export. Nova Russian ambitions seems to be control over Svalbard and mainland region Finnmark in order to gain control over major areas in the Arctic Sea. Thorium based fusion energy is theoretically possible in a distant future, but no option for the present energy market.”
“The scenario is based on the brown-red political occupations of the Nordic nations in ww2 that were quite different in the nations. Sweden cut a double-deal without military occupation. Denmark’s surrender after 2 hours was due to bureaucratic delay. Finland fought the Russian invasion and thereby the expansion to Finnmark/Norway. Island was under Denmark, but was liberated after the ww2. Norway sunk the warship Blûcher with the main invasion force that gave the Throne and government time to escape. There can be made innumerous scenarios to an Arctic climax. This rivaleri will probably not be settled in this century either.

A rather different 5D hypothesis, though, is that Beijing Mongols will reclaim Siberia. There are several indications that a joint China/Mongolia eventually will do so, when they feel strong enough.

The Mongolian empire included Siberia, but was annexed by the Russian empire about 1700.
The Mongols have occupied Beijing and invaded China twice, in 1238 and 1949.
China strives to get in position in the Northwest passage, however the Northeast is the closest one.
Siberia is a most valuable and geopolitical area to control for Mongolia and China.
Siberia also has direct access to the borders of both Canada and USA as well as Russia.

A nova-Mongolian annexation of Siberia would certainly shift the Russian focus from the ‘North-west’ to the ‘North-east’ passage of the Arctic ocean.

Nova SU cannot fight on the two fronts in the Arctic and have to focus on either ‘West’ or ‘East’.
Svalbard is the ‘red line’, not to be crossed, in the view of NATO, America, Europe and Canada.

How will nova-Russia react when realizing that its imperial propaganda is too unreal, - in fact psychotic? Will Russia once again enter a collective imperial alter-ego of MAD violations in the Arctic – like a Pyramid Game of 5th degree? If so, they will not be able to trigger another 5th Pyramid Game of 4th degree in the Pacific between the ‘East’ and the ‘West’, even though these girly Games of Putin of LYAHF are tempting to both Kim and Trump. Consequently, the nova-Russia might rather implode.
