SDG2030/QoH – Lunar EMP Engine

A 4th kind of engine is needed to solve our challenges concerning our Earth’s orbit, our Moon and elsewhere in the space. The 3 previous kinds of engines; steam, combustion and electric, are invented for tasks on Earth - and nowhere else. Thus, satellites, spaceships and even astronauts float uncontrollable in space – waiting for some rescue - or hopeless fate - eternally. Now, ending the overdue lockdown of our Moon, - hope is regained for professional Sustainable Development Goals for our planetary system too. Thus, the Artemis program does indeed evoke some neglected innovations to that second ‘Big step for Humanity’. Hence, this blog sets focus on how the EMP Engine could and should be utilized in outer space.

The EMP engine is patented in order to provide space vessels with an electric motor. It is utterly presented at the website cloudmaps.dk/emp. Basically, it reduces the backwards counterforce of electromagnetic pulses (EMP), - thus causing a net forward acceleration. Thus, any vessel can be pushed for the inside as well as the outside. Dissimilar to Earth, a tiniest push in vacuum space will make a vessel accelerate to a higher velocity - forever, - which is also true for the Earth and Moon orbits.

At the website, there are descriptions and videos, - with some advices on some possibly earthly profitable utilizations too. However, now, after a commercial setback, - the focus is once again on the true and original idea, theses and intention. Still, the EMP Engine is originally invented for space utilizations - with its rather un-earthly conditions like; minimal friction, unlimited energy and 3D motions. Fortunately, the engine is based on some very basic and simple technology.

The restart of our lunar explorations is primarily triggered by the Artemis projects. It is called a ‘robotic and human Moon exploration program’ – an intercontinental collaboration by NASA, ESA, JAXA and CSA. The main projects of the program are to permanently create; 1) the Space Launch System (SLS), 2) the Orion spacecraft, 3) the Lunar Gateway space station, and 4) the commercial Human Landing Systems. Additionally, the long-term goal is to establish a permanent human base on the Moon. The aim is also to facilitate human missions to Mars. Clearly, the goals will also be to explore the asteroid belt with its dwarf planet Ceres – as well as the Jupiter’s 4 main ‘moons’ Io, Europa, Ganymede and Calisto, - as well as Mercury’s poles and Venus’ atmosphere.

Still, the main challenge for this renewed ‘leap’ to our planetary expansion is the lack of proper space motors. What there is developed so far is useless in space. This is related to the previous blog 'Planet B’ says: “The obvious first candidate is our Moon, due to its constantly short distance and low escape-velocity. It is perfect for remote control and have rich deposit for minerals from asteroids, fuel from the Sun and water with oxygen. Human presence will basically be required for on-site maintenance. Most of the construction and operations can be done by remote controlled machines. In fact, the Moon is perfect as an outpost to hinder the next mass-extinction asteroid to hit our Earth. Most important, it should be a storage site for all biological heritage on Earth, - like the island Svalbard is.” (UU20230402 & UU20170707)

Regardless, the 3 previous kinds of engines; steam, combustion and electric, can also be substituted with EMP technology. It does not even require the scares resources of organic fuel, greasing and liquids. The 3 presentation videos of the EMP Engine can be viewed in this blog’s ‘Extra UU’. They explain the aim to make the prototypes, how they work and some visions of gainful utilizations. Besides, an additional video will soon be made, that illustrates utilizations related to the Artemis program and further potentials for the Moon and the rest of our solar system. For instance, since our Moon has practically no air resistance, and with gravity and escape velocity at 1/6, - the EMP Engine will function well for work and transport. It might even enable astronauts and some vessels to fly. Moreover, there are several other possible ways of utilization like; propelling rockets, vessels and astronauts; pumping, drilling, and mining; as well as for robotics, construction and other industrial tasks.

Conclusively, it would be wise to build proof of concept models in order to develop full scale EMP Engines. The 3 previous engines were constructed for earth environment, but not space or moons. Still, the EMP Engine was originally designed to solve the challenges for work and transport in space.
